Exhibition and event host
You must apply to the group, if you want to participate
About the group
Being an Exhibition and Event Host means that you will be visible in the space of our exhibitions and events. Your job will be to make sure our visitors are happy, feel welcome and help with general guidance and questions. At certain events you will be assisting the visitors through an activity and/or hand out the needed tools.
Your tasks might vary between for each shift and you might even switch position during a shift, if needed.
You will help in the following tasks:

- EXHIBITION HOST
Go around the exhibitions and check that everything is in place, if you are interested you can also talk to the public about the exhibition.

- EVENT HOST
Assist the logistics of talks, events and workshops.

- WORKSHOP FACILITATOR
Assist the public in our new workshop space. You will give them access to materials and give inspiration to tune in their creativity (you will get training for that task beforehand).

Your shift will begin with an introduction from the volunteer coordinator of the day or someone else from the main team.

- What to wear
Make sure you wear clothes that you can move in. What it looks like is up to you, as long as you are comfortable and ready to work. Remember to wear a pair of shoes that you can walk and stand for the full duration of your shift.

NOTE that the festival is an outdoor event so dress accordingly. If it’s cold bring a jacket, if it rains bring a raincoat, if it’s 25 degrees and the sun is out, put on sunscreen!

- Who’s in charge?
The volunteer coordinator of the day will be your main point of contact. If there is any uncertainty, always ask the volunteer coordinator, then we will figure it out for you. Other members of the main staff might be present at the festival and sometimes these people are in charge of certain tasks. If they are, you will always be told. When someone other than the volunteer coordinator is in charge, you can still always ask the volunteer coordinator for help, if anything is unclear or you just have questions on the task at hand.

- At Copenhagen Photo Festival, we value our community highly, and volunteers are important to us. The festival wouldn't be the same without you! As a way of saying thank you, we make sure that all volunteers get a goodie bag, with special products and offers centered around photography, culture, art and events.
You also get a festival ticket for all 10 days of the festival, so you can visit and enjoy the festival when you don't have shifts. While you are on your shifts, you will have access to delicious, organic and environmentally friendly snacks, drinks and food.
NOTE Remember to bring your own bottle to refill or cup of you want to drink coffee/tea!
