Om gruppen
Being a ticket/merch/bar sales volunteer means that you are a flexible volunteer who would like to try different things. Your tasks might vary between each shift and you might even switch position during a shift, if needed.

INFO DESK/TICKET SALES
As a volunteer at the info desk/ticket sale, you'll be the face of the festival, greeting visitors, artists, and curious souls. Your duties include selling tickets, exchanging them for wristbands, and answering questions from the public.

BAR
At the bar, we serve beer, wine, carbonated drinks both by the bottle and draught beer, as well as snacks. While bartender experience isn't necessary, customer service and cash register skills are helpful. You'll also assist in maintaining the festival park and ensuring the venue, Frame, looks its best during opening hours.

MERCHANDISE
You will be selling merchandise like photo books from artists and ateliers, tote bags and other goods. Here you will spend some time with the public and need some knowledge about the products that we sell to give the best information to the public.

Your shift will begin with an introduction from the volunteer coordinator of the day or someone else from the main team.

- What to wear
Make sure you wear clothes that you can move in. What it looks like is up to you, as long as you are comfortable and ready to work. Remember to wear a pair of shoes that you can walk and stand for the full duration of your shift.
NOTE that the festival is an outdoor event so dress accordingly. If it’s cold bring a jacket, if it rains bring a raincoat, if it’s 25 degrees and the sun is out, put on sunscreen!

- Who’s in charge?
The volunteer coordinator of the day will be your main point of contact. If there is any uncertainty, always ask the volunteer coordinator, then we will figure it out for you. Other members of the main staff might be present at the festival, and sometimes these people are in charge of certain tasks. If they are, you will always be told. When someone other than the volunteer coordinator is in charge, you can still always ask the volunteer coordinator for help, if anything is unclear or you just have questions on the task at hand.

- At Copenhagen Photo Festival, we value our community highly, and volunteers are important to us. The festival wouldn't be the same without you! As a way of saying thank you, we make sure that all volunteers get a goodie bag, with special products and offers centered around photography, culture, art and events.
You also get a festival ticket for all 10 days of the festival, so you can visit and enjoy the festival when you don't have shifts. While you are on your shifts, you will have access to delicious, organic and environmentally friendly snacks, drinks and food.
NOTE Remember to bring your own bottle to refill or cup of you want to drink coffee/tea!
